Mom's Visit

After the "snowmageddon" which basically lasted the entire month of February and destroyed my mom's plans to visit for a weekend, she finally got to come this past weekend and I think it was definitely for the best--the weather was BEAUTIFUL! Finally it warmed up and we could actually see the sun! We did lots of cool things--Saturday we went to an AMAZING consignment sale held by our church's 'Mothers of Preschoolers' group (we scored a HUGE bag of baby clothes, most of which were 50 or 75 cents!), walked around in the Strip District for a bit, had lunch with my mother- and father-in-law at Hard Rock Cafe, and rented some movies. Sunday was even more beautiful so we went for a walk in Schenley park and then drove up to Mount Washington to show mom the cool view of the city. It was a great weekend! And then there were three!

Greetings, friends and family! We hope that this blog will be a way that we can more easily share things that are happening, pictures, etc. since there are many miles between most of us. Right now, there is one big thing happening (actually, it's pretty little right now...) but anyway,

We're expecting! The Lord has blessed us (much to our surprise!) with the opportunity to be parents to Baby Barone, who is due September 25. We are ecstatic and nervous all at the same time, but what new parents aren't?!? We are very busy already with searching for a new place to live, etc., but we wouldn't have it any other way now. Stay tuned for many more adventures and pictures to come, and please keep us in your prayers!
